Jaidee wins Volvo Masters
Bangkok, Dec 18: Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee survived a double-bogey at the final hole to win the $650,000 Volvo Masters of Asia in Bangkok by one shot from Frankie Minoza of the Philippines on Sunday.

Thongchai, two shots ahead overnight, won the prestigious season-ending title for the second time in four years with a final round of 72 to post an 11-under-par total of 277.

He had looked on course for a three-shot victory going down the last hole but ran into trouble before holding his nerve to complete a double-bogey six and secure his first title of the season.

South Korea's Charlie Wi finished a shot behind Minoza in third place with Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand a stroke further back in fourth on eight under par.

India's Jeev Milkha Singh, the Asian tour order of merit winner, finished tied for sixth place on six under par.

Thongchai's victory lifted him to second in the Asian standings for 2006.
