Bangkok, Dec 15: Vehicle sales in Thailand fell by 9.9 percent in November year-on-year to 57,800 units due to sluggish consumer sentiment amid rising violence in the South, Toyota Motor Thailand said Friday. Despite falling oil prices, car sales also declined due to prolonged severe flooding, which affected nearly 60 per cent of the country's 76 provinces, Toyota said. Despite positive economic factors such as stable oil prices and low inflation, sales of vehicles fell in every segment in November due to floods and unrest in the South," the Nation quoted Toyota as saying. Sales of vehicles in the eleven months to November this year dropped 4.5 per cent year-on-year to 597,640 units. Toyota total sales target for this year is still at 700,000.
